To save you time and money, do this simple test for bursts and leaks:
- Turn off all taps, washing machines, air conditioners and fridge water & ice makers.
- Record the black and red numbers on your water meter. The black numbers are kilolitres (1,000 litres) and the red numbers are litres.
- Wait 15 minutes and record the black and red numbers again.
- If any of the black or red numbers have changed (even slightly) you have a burst or a leak. The bigger the change, the bigger the burst or leak.
You can also check for bursts and leaks by looking for these symptoms:
